Been learning drawing pattern for clothes and sewing.. It’s really interesting, though my sewing turned out not neat at all (the book recommended to use sewing machine, but I didn’t). Only left to sew the lady’s blouse.. than done with the puppets.. and start animate them..
This is the pict of the puppet I had so far.. I haven’t make the clothes yet.. Will do it this weekend..
Been thinking to fix the story.. And yes, I always have problem making story, plus have some quite work to finish for my club since last week made me hardly can manage my time working for my own school projects.
In the end I change the story quite bit to a nurse who have to go to work at night. but he is so sleepy. He goes to coffee shop, but it’s just closed when he arrived there. The lady, who closed the coffee shop, feels sorry for him, lets him in, and makes a cup of coffee for him. When he finally drinks his coffee, he is awake, opens his suitcase, and starts his night job, which actually a thief. When he wants to rob that lady, he is surprised and surrender, because unfortunately the lady has a night shift job too as a cop.
This is the character designs for this story.
I will definitely work hard for the next couple weeks making the puppets, the coffee shop, and make the animation.
Originally, I wanted to make a short animation about a guy who is trying to make a girl smile. But after I went to Starbucks Coffee at Bexley area during spring break, I saw a huge stainless steel safety room just like on the bank on that coffee shop. And that room is used for the Starbucks costumer enjoying the coffee or cake while chatting or working.
Saw that stainless steel safety room and how they used it for, really get into my attention, which in the end led me to have this idea.
So the story is about a guy, who just get his coffee from a coffee shop. He inhales the nice smell of his fresh coffee. When he is about to leave, he sees the giant stainless steel safety room, which in the end increases his curiosity and desires to go back again to that coffee shop at night. He able to unlock the front door, and then walk very carefully approaching the stainless steel safety room. He is able to open that safety room, and thinks that coffee bean (and or money) will be inside that room. When he opens the door, he sees that it’s only another selling-buying coffee drink interaction just like regular coffee shop activity in that safety room.
This is the story I have so far. Though there’s still possibility I changed a bit of the story.
This project will be done in stop motion. I may not able to finish the whole story in stop motion, but at least 2 scenes have to be finished.
I will start with making the character(s) first using clay, than making the room (using card boar or foam core or any kind of board). After that starts animate it, and edit it.
I didn’t have that much progress since last week end. Was trying to make the enemies die if the character jump over them or the character die if the enemies touch them, but couldn’t really understand the coding. So all I did was make to make the three enemies we have to come out and chase the character.
I wasn’t a big help to my group.
I couldn’t upload the swf file (seems tumblr doesn’t allow it), so I took some snapshots from the swf file.. And here they are..
I’m one of the member for the video game project..
This is my first time playing around with game coding, and using action script 3.
I’m in charge to make the enemy move for this game project..
It is harder than what I imagine..
I only follow the tutorial, did some changing a bit for the name on the code (since I wasn’t completely doing every step the tutorial did, so I had different movie clip names with the tutorial site). Of course I met some problems with the code, but with internet help, finally I could make the enemy move! (though it’s shaking.. I still don’t know what caused the shaking part.. will try to figure out the problem for that.. but I feel I’m getting there..)
I want to make a short movie, combining animation and life action, animated, and or any kind of movie. I am thinking to take a short clip from each movies.
The story is about someone (character that will create later) journey movies (life action, animated). But I do open to any idea and or suggestion.
This project will need 4 people (including me), one person to cut the movie clips, and compile everything when the animating stuff is done. Three persons to do the animation (character and effects). Or one from the three can do coloring (So 2 person do the animation, and one do the coloring).
“Who Framed Roger Rabbit” is one of the example, which also inspire me for this project
